how to request a repeat prescription
Repeat prescriptions will be issued at the doctor's discretion and
are normally for patients on long-term treatment.
Requests for prescriptions can only be made by:
- calling at the
surgery in person
- Online using SystmOne ordering system
(you will need to register with the surgery for this service)
Patients should make arrangements with a pharmacy of their
choice should they wish their prescriptions delivered BEFORE they submit their repeat
- by post
- through a pharmacy
Electronic Prescription Service
This Practice offers the Electronic Prescription Service, which
allows you to choose or 'nominate' a pharmacy to get your medicines
or appliances from. Your GP then sends your prescription
electronically to the place you nominated. This means:
- If you collect your repeat prescription from your GP you
will not have to visit your GP Practice to pick up your paper
prescription, saving time.
- You will have more choice about where to get your medicines
from because they can be collected from a pharmacy near to where you
live, work or shop.
- You may not have to wait as long when you go and collect your
prescription from your pharmacy.
We are unable to take telephone requests or to take orders or
issue repeats at weekends, public holidays or outside opening hours.
Please allow two complete working days before collection.
